A great place to learn about Fort Robinson’s storied history from Native American days to World War II is the Fort Robinson History Center.  Operated by the Nebraska State Historical Society, educational displays give context to the fort’s mission guarding the Red Cloud Agency and later, housing German prisoners of war. The center is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day, including state holidays.
