Lee’s Legendary Marbles

Lee’s Legendary Marbles in York is filled with 1,300 quart-sized Mason jars of marbles. The rows of jars line the top shelf near the ceiling, but only represent a fraction of Lee Batterton’s eclectic collection. His nondescript steel building just off U.S. Highway 81 houses one of the world’s largest collections of marbles and includes spherical sulphides, European swirls, lobed onionskins, lightning strikes, uraniums and a one-of-a-kind guinea estimated to be worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000.
