Gretna got its start in 1886 when the Burlington Railroad laid tracks between Omaha and Ashland. Today, the 4,000 residents are still nestled along a transportation corridor with I-80 crossing inside its southern border.
Located on the western side of Sarpy County, Gretna is home to Schramm Park State Recreation Area, Nebraska Crossing Outlets, the Holy Family Shrine and Vala’s Pumpkin Patch.
