The Platte River Valley has long been home to the spring migration of sandhill cranes. Visitors from around the world flock to see hundreds of thousands of the large gray birds. Biologists from the Crane Trust study the ecology of the Platte River while the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center educates the public. Taxidermy animal mounts, interactive displays and presentations teach about the unique wildlife spectacle of the crane migration.
