Eastern farm fields and western cattle pastures meet at Broken Bow, providing unique habitat for man and beast. This pheasant-hunting competition draws hundreds and features hunter teams competing for bragging rights. Past celebrity guns have included Nebraska governors and military Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf. The first man to walk on the moon, astronaut Neil Armstrong, also walked Custer County’s fields during this unique event.
