Unadilla’s Groundhog Day

Unadilla is famed for its annual Groundhog Day celebration on its historic main street. The event draws so many people that the community’s population of 311 more than doubles for the day. The rodent at the center of the fun is Unadilla Bill, a stuffed groundhog who looks for his shadow each year. The fun starts at 2 p.m. sharp on the first Saturday in February. The event also includes a parade, craft fair and Spam recipe contest.
