Walnut Creek Recreation Area

Walnut Creek Recreation Area in Papillion is centered around a 150-acre reservoir. With 450 acres of rustic views and winding trails, it’s a great place to hike, bike and unwind. The lake is stocked with bass, catfish, bluegill, crappie and sunfish and a boat dock and ramp are available. Other features include 5 miles of equestrian trails, a leash-free area for exercising dogs and sites for RV and tent camping. Sumtur Amphitheater, Nebraska’s largest covered stage, is a venue for summer concerts and festivals at Walnut Creek Recreation Area.
