Sheldon Museum of Art

The Sheldon Museum of Art in Lincoln houses nearly 13,000 pieces of art inside a modernist building that is itself a work of art. The collection includes 19th-century landscapes, American impressionism, abstract expressionism and contemporary art. This museum on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus includes a sprawling sculpture garden with more than 30 monumental sculptures.
