The Great Plains Art Museum is located inside the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Great Plains Studies. Their permanent collection includes paintings, bronze sculptures, drawings and photographs that capture the spirit of the Great Plains. It’s not all about the art images though, the museum houses 7,500 volumes of literary works as well. Admission is free.
