Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary hosts sandhill cranes each March and April on the densest roosts in all of the Platte River. Tens of thousands of visitors come to Rowe each year to experience the largest crane migration on earth, explore the river and take part in special events.

Rowe’s Iain Nicolson Audubon Center has educational and entertaining displays about the Platte River, the cranes and other wildlife. This straw bale building is one of the largest of its kind in the United States. Nature trails and riverside picnic areas provide an outdoors outlet all year long, not just during the migration.
